| From San Jose: Take hwy 17 into Santa Cruz. Stay strait on Hwy1 and veer right on to Mission Street. Take left on Bay Avenue (1/2 - 1mi), then follow to end. At end, take right on Westcliff Dr. Lighthouse is about 1/2 mi. on left. | Parking is free, but it may take time to find a spot at this location. | From Monterey:
Take Hwy 1 North until you reach Santa
Cruz. Go around the fishhook, then stay to your right. Remain Strait on
Hwy1 and veer right on to Mission Street. Take left on Bay Avenue (1/2 -

is about 1/2 mi. on left. |

| This beach is hard to find because it's entrance is between 2 houses. Here is what the entrance looks like. Note yellow hydrant at entry point. | You can park along the street at this location. | Please note this beach has a lot of stairs to climb up when you leave. |

From Hwy 1 Southbound: Take the Rio Del Mar exit and take a right at the end of the exit ramp. Then stay left, and immediately follow the road to the left, heading uphill on Clubhouse Drive. Stay on Clubhouse Drive, and follow it all the way until it meets a gated community (approx 1 mi). Just before going through the gates, turn left, drive down the hill and park towards the end of the street just before it terminates in a hard left turn. On the right side (ocean side) of the street about 150 yards from the turn you will see a staircase going down to the beach. It's somewhat hidden and between two houses. |
During the summer months this dog friendly beach is moderately crowded but there's still lots of open spaces. During the winter months it is significantly less crowded. | From Hwy 1 Northbound: Take Rio Del Mar exit, and take a left at the end of the exit ramp. Go over bridge, then through the traffic light immediately at end of bridge, then get in left lane and fork left on to Clubhouse Drive. Stay on Clubhouse Drive, and follow it all the way until it meets a gated community (approx 1 mi). Just before going through the gates, turn left, drive down the hill and park towards the end of the street just before it terminates in a hard left turn. | The upper secton of this park is the baseball field where we usually go when we have play dates here | The lower section of this park contains a running creek and playground. On hot days the creek is ideal so the dogs can stay cool. | |

can take Hwy 9 over, and stay on 9 until you see Highlands Park on your
left (town of Ben Lomond)

is adequate parking at this location.
Though this is not an enclosed park, the play area is set back a good distance from the road. |
From Monterey: Take Hwy 1 North into Santa Cruz. Take the exit for San Jose / Hwy 17. From Hwy 17, take the 2nd exit which is Mt Hermon Road in Scotts Valley. Stay on Mt. Hermon Road several miles until you come to the bottom of the hill where it meets Graham Hill Rd. Take a right on Graham Hill, then your first right on Hwy 9. Stay on Hwy 9 about 2-3 miles and the entrace to Highlands Park is on your right, and marked with a brown sign. |

| From Santa Cruz: Take Hwy 1 to the Rio Del Mar exit. Go left over the freeway and take a right at the end of the overpass onto Monroe Ave. Bear left - Monroe turns into Wallace Ave. Look for the brown signs directing you to the Polo Grounds. Take Huntington Dr on your left. Continue on Huntington until you see the park entrance on your left (<1 mile). | From Monterey: Take Hwy 1 North to Rio Del Mar Exit in Aptos. At end of exit ramp, take a right, then an immediate right on Monroe Ave. Once on Monroe Ave, bear left. Monroe turns into Wallace Ave. Look for the brown signs directing you to the Polo Grounds. Take Huntington Dr on your left. Continue on Huntington until you see the park entrance on your left (<1 mile). |

| From Monterey: Take Hwy 1 North, and exit at the Morrissey Blvd. exit. Just before the exit ramp turns into the bridge, take a right, then an immediate left on Rooney St. Continue strait until the road curves to the right. At the stop sign, take a left on Goss Ave. At the stop sign, go strait (you will be crossing over Branciforte Dr). After a short down hill, there's a stop sign. Take a sharp right. DeLaveaga park is on your right about 1 mile up. Look for the picnic tables on the right. | There are several shady areas here | From San Jose: Take Hwy 17 south, to Hwy 1 South. Exit at the Morrissey Blvd exit. At the end of the exit ramp, take a right at the stop sign, then another right on Fairmount Ave. Go to the 2nd stop sign, and take a right on N. Branciforte Dr, then a left at the stop sign on Goss Ave. The park entrance is on your right about 1 mile ahead. |

Seabright Beach

| From Monterey: Take Hwy 1 North, and exit at the Morrissey Blvd. exit. Stay on the exit ramp going up over the highway heading west on Morissey Blvd. Go strait through the 1st light which is at the end of the ramp, then up to the 2nd light. (Safeway will be on your right). Then go strait at that traffic light on to Morrissey ext. At the stop sign, take a right. Go a few blocks until you can only turn left or right, and turn left on Seabright Ave. Stay on Seabright Ave going strait through 2 stop lights. Just after the 2nd light (you will cross over Murray St), take either your 1st or 2nd right. From either of those streets take the 2nd left on Mott Ave. The entrance to Seabright beach is at the bottom of Mott Ave. | This
beach is very popular on weekends and summer days.
Parking may be difficult. You'll have to park along the street and walk about 1/2 block to 3 blocks. |
From San Jose: Take Hwy 17 south and at the end, veer left toward Ocean Street/Beaches. Stay on Ocean Street through 3-4 stop lights to the very end (about 1/4 mi). At the end of Ocean Street, take a left on East Cliff. Follow East Cliff up the incline and just as you reach the top, take your 1st right. Follow that road to the beach and it curves left. The entrance to seabright beach is about 100 yds down on your right. |
